Decent
I bought these subs about 6 months ago while DC audio was having a sale. Let me tell you that i would still buy them even if they were not on sale. the subs sound great and are LOUD! I dont think im even giving them 600 watts and my arm rests in my car are shaking.
I was always looking for a sub made in the USA and these fit that category.
they seem extremely well built and stylish.

I just started getting into bass and started with a cheap low level from a brand starting K. Wasn't enoug so I looked around for the best $200 sub. I had it between Sundown's SA-12 and DC's level 2 (12"). Heard great things about both but I love Sonic's services and they don't carry Sundown so I went for the DC and am glad I did. Have heard they are underrated and some run at 900-1,000RMS daily. I'm currently running about 450w to it for awhile, gonna let it break in for a week or so just to be safe. Haven't broken anything in my jeep with it yet but everything is shaking and stuff is falling off hangers for sure. Everybody either hates it because they hate bass in general or they love it and want one. It's puts down all the kids at high school's two 10 / two 12 set up ;) I have it in a 1.83 cubic foot ported box since I already had it laying around. Thats more volume than reccomended but it handles it at 400-450w like a champ. Powered by a RF R500X1D that came dyno'd at 620w. For box, sub, and amp you can't beat this $400 system. Highly recommend it to anybody looking for one 12 that can hit hard for around $200.

This is really the first decent system I’ve put together, not realizing that till I got everything hooked up. Waiting on my second one. This paired extremely well with a hifonics 1000.1d amplifier(if your on a budget). I would say subsonic filter is a must now that I have it, these will try to reproduce extremely low frequency’s and it’ll muddy up your really heavy bass lines.
Nice sub but its POWER hungry
this sub is well built and sounds clean and clear! I have it in a 1.45 cu foot ported at 35hz (before sub displacement) and its running on about 500 rms. sounds very nice and clear like a JL w6 does. It just is not loud - it looks like its barely moving on those watts - I know it needs break in time but I feel this rated at 600 rms it very conservative. I am returning it only because I fell in love with an IDQ12 and am going that route or else I would fire 800-1000 watts at this baby and enjoy
Level 2 12
Nice sub and it is loud. I put it in my single cab ranger and it slams and the optimum ported box vol is 1.25 so it is perfect for cars or trucks with with very little space for a box. You get what you pay for and then some with this sub. If you want decent spl and don't want to pay 500 for a comp sub this is for you.
Flat out, an amazing subwoofer
DC Audio just knows how to make a great sub. For $200 you get a hand built sub with amazing quality materials. I have this on 640 watts and it takes it like a champ. If you want a loud sub get this one.
