For those of you who have blown there g5 sub the SPS is ez to install literally in minutes!! So easy my little brother can do it and hes 12 plus once you blow the sub you know how much it can take therefore when you rebuild it you wont push it as hard plus it will be brand new sub again once you replace the cone kit i mean a magnet is good forever or for longer than our lifetime so the cone kit is the only thing under stress! take my advice get a set of alan wrenches metric and take the cone kit off and rebuild good luck and have fun bassin out!

the boston sps is an awsome product unlike most subwoofers when you blow them there toast but with bostons sps you can replace the soft part and in about 15 mins the sub is back in working order and the g5 12-44 slams really hard for a sub thats only rated at 450 watts rms it outperforms 1000 watt kicker subs and it has very clear bass with almost no distortion it sounds way better than kickers.
