Utilizing JL Audio's extensive design experience and exclusive technologies, Evolution ZR component system woofers and tweeters are precision-built in Germany, featuring die-cast alloy baskets and Kurt Muller cones and suspensions to produce unparalleled mid-bass and refined transparency. ZR component tweeters feature 1-inch aluminum domes with rubber-roll surrounds to produce unmatched high-frequency detail and extension. Made with super-premium component parts, ZR crossover networks are bi-amp capable and offer a range of flexible tweeter and mid-range adjustments for twenty possible voicing combinations. Engineered to deliver world-class audio performance and fidelity, ZR component speakers are for the most discriminating listeners.

Aluminum Dome Tweeter

The ZR component tweeters feature 1-inch aluminum domes with rubber-roll suspensions that damp unwanted ringing while delivering spectacular high-frequency extension. Compared to similar textile designs, aluminum tweeter diaphragms offer superior stiffness and high-frequency extension, with only a minor penalty in efficiency. With premium build technologies like a neodymium magnet and ferrofluid cooled and damped motor, the tweeter is capable of producing unparalleled transparency. In addition, as a stand-alone driver, they provide extremely balanced high-frequency reproduction from 4 - 25 kHz. The tweeters ship with a flush-mounting fixture with a classy electro-formed ring that provides a sophisticated touch in any installation.

JL Audio Build and Precision

DMA is JL Audio’s proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis system and is aimed at improving dynamic motor behavior. As a result of DMA optimization, Evolution ZR motors remain linear in motor force over an extreme range of excursion and also maintain a highly stable fixed magnetic field in the gap over a wide power range. This leads to vastly reduced distortion and faithfully reproduced transients... or put simply: tight, clean, articulate low end. In addition, JL Audio turns to their partners at Germany's Dr. Kurt Müller & Co. for critical cone and suspension elements that provide unparalleled woofer performance.

BEST!

These speakers go above and beyond the call of duty. The mids and highs are probably reproduced better than the musician intended them to be. Very loud and will hurt your ears before distorting. Buy them! you cant beat the price either because they are twice as expensive on other sites.
