I bought this reciever to replace the stock player on my Nissan altima. The performance difference was huge, my factory speakers sound very clear now due to the higher power being sent to them.
It has got lots of features considering that it is an entry level model. The EQ settings are something of a let down...some settings have too much bass and some have extremely high treble...this was a let down. The saving grace however was that the settings can be changed manually and once EQd to the user preference it put out pristine sound.
the menu systems seems a bit awkward to reach the settings for LPF for the sub down one level and then come up one level to change the EQ in the main menu. This is not a hassle but a one time deal. Once you set the sub levels at the right point you are good to go.
The interface is pretty cool with the blue and red colors and it gives a nice glow in the night times. the brightness can also be varied so that it does not hurt your eyes.
The sound is the killer part....I can actually hear details that i have not heard with my stock head.
Extremely good choice for a entry level CD/MP3 player.

Great head unit for the price, does everything you need it to do and has the front aux input. Drives stock speakers good but its not that loud and gets really distorted even with after market speakers.

I bought this deck for a 2001 F150 and it looks great. Sony is awesome at creating a quality product that looks amazing. There is a dust flap to keep dirt out of the CD drive with is very nice because i live in the desert. Very nice deck for the money, it has the features of a $200 deck for nearly half the cost.
Great Product Highly Recommended

This head unit is amazing...Looks way better than those expensive pioneers, wow, it has a cd opening in the front which allows you to load a cd w/out having to flip the faceplate down, as well as ipod/aux hook up in the front. I only wish there were more eq settings and such...AMAZING for a budget though
