First I would like to mention this is a great sub for $40, and sounds comparable to a Rockford P1 sub. I purchased this to add to my garage stereo so I was not limited size wise for building an enclosure, so I looked at the specs here on Sonic and on the Powerbass USA website which says the optimum size for a sealed enclosure is 1.25 cubic feet, so I built my box to 1.25 cubic feet to have ready when the sub arrived. Sub arrived and the paperwork with it says the optimum sealed enclosure size is 1.7 cubic feet, so my box is almost 1/2 cube short which will cause some loss on those "deep" bass notes. I added some polyfill to help make up for the loss in cubic feet. I wish it had push terminals, other than that this is an excellent sub for the price.

I put this sub in my car with a sealed enclosure and giving it 250 watts so far and even with half power its hitting hard and the sound is amazing. No complaints at all!

Great sub, put it in my wifes hatchback SUV in a small sealed box. Doesnt drop as low as I would want it in my truck but she loves it for her country/pop style music. Maybe with more airspace it would hit harder but I dont know currently in .7 cuft.
