I bought this alarm after one of my vehicles was broken into twice in a 6 month period. I installed this alarm myself and it was the first time I have ever done an install on an alarm. It was fairly complicated but I would imagine any alarm with this amount of features would be.
I was originally looking at the Viper 5900 but it doesn't have a second key fob which for me was a deal breaker. I let others drive my vehicle but I still need my main set of keys so a second transmitter is great to have.
Overall I have been very pleased with this unit. If your vehicle doesn't have remote start, GET IT! It is wonderful. This unit doesn't have a range of one mile as they claim but I have tested it to several hundred yards which is more than enough for most situations. The OLED screen on the keyfob works great. Easy to read and displays alot of info. It has a mini usb charger and comes with home and car chargers. You can program it to do a number of things like start your car at a certain time or temp And if one of the sensors or triggers is tripped it will let you know on the remote and even tell you which one it was (trunk, shock sensor, etc) Just be prepared to read the manual because this has alot of features to learn. To sum it up if you want a high end alarm/remote start system check out this unit. I don't think you will be disappointed.

This is an outstanding Alarm system. It will work with 4 different vehicles however you will need to have the SRT-9000 in stalled on each vehicle. You can arm/disarm the vehicle from up too a mile away but but just like anything that works as a remote control you better have a clear line of sight. You can set the system to start your vehicle at a pre set time that you with with the 2-way remote. You can also set the vehicle to start every 1, 2, or 3 hours. The LCD screen is is color and the 2-way remote can start the vehicle from a mile away also. Just one major thing you need to ask when you buy it is it a 1St or 2nd genation ant. The 1st gen on mine just out of no where stopped working. So I'm going through the hole process of of trying to get it replaced. If you do buy just make sure to ask that question.
delivery was right on time and it was exactly what they had represented it to be. I work for a car dealership and the audio store we use was about $150 more and that is at our dealer cost. I would definetly buy from sonic electronix again. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give them a 10.
