Award Winning Cerwin-Vega VMAX Subwoofers
VMAX series subwoofers, like the VMAX102, has been the most popular, award-winning, series of Cerwin-Vega subwoofers for the last 10 years for many reasons. The series of subwoofers are offered in a 10", 12", and 15" size with each respective size having the option of a Dual 2 ohm or Dual 4 ohm voice coil. They offer a power rating of 1000 watts peak and 500 watts of continuous RMS power making them your daily "ground-pounders". With these many different sizes and impedance options, these woofers offer versatility and a significant amount of bass that is sure to fit anyone's bass needs. The woofers feature a composite polypropylene cone and a wider larger than normal rubber surround for increased excursion level, performance, quality, and strength. The use of O2 Cast technology increases basket strength and lowers basket resonance, which also increases the quality and performance of the subwoofers. The woofers also feature cross-flow window venting that reduces voice coil temperatures and radial contact convex domes that reduce cone flex and minimize distortion. If you want to achieve exceptional low-frequency reproduction that is accompanied by quality manufacturing and amazing value, look no further than the Cerwin-Vega VMAX series subwoofers.

First thing I would like to say is that Cerwin Vega is an old school brand that has been around for over 55 years making quality products. These V-Max subs are no exception to the quality of Cerwin Vega. However price wise, they will give you excellent low end bass, sound quality, durability and phenomenal looks at half the cost of higher priced but not necessarily better subs. I have my 2 V-Max 102 subs in a custom made 1.25 cubic ft per woofer box tuned to 35hz and I get lows, clarity and loudness all in one package. Like other reviews said the low end bass (30-40hz) is the best in the business. The upper bass range 50-80hz is also top quality. Cerwin Vega these days doesn't have the fancy name as they used to however the quality of their products is the same. I owned Cerwin Vega in the late 80's and now and the quality is the same. I have owned other more popular sub brands and these V-Maxes with the space requirements, price and quality outperform the majority of them. I have owned these for about a year and I have no complaints.
WHEN OR IF YOU BUY THESE SUBS YOU ARE GETTING A QUALITY SUBS WITH THE BEST LOW END BASS IN THE MARKET AT A GREAT PRICE. DON'T BE AFRAID TO BUY THEM BECAUSE IF YOU DO YOU WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

I'm sorry I didn't write down the name of the rep I spoke with. HE was great. I originally wanted to order a pair of Image Dynamics that were on back order. The rep I spoke with recommended these. Man what a great fit. I'm running these with a RF Prime 1000 at 2ohm (probably 500 rms) and they tune very, very well. The lows are just that; low. However, the clarity of these match the IDQs at a fraction of the price. Buy these, you'll love the durability and freq response of these subs.

I have two of these subs in my Saturn l200. Hooked up is a 4000w (1000rms) Lanzar amplifier. The seats folded down creates some amazing sounds from these little subs. Two of my friends have 12s in their cars and mine hits harder than both

Unbelievable sound from this sub. I was going to order two of them, but one has been plenty. I am running it on a JL Audio 900HD amplifier. It gets 500W from the sub channel, Wow! For the money I wouldn't buy any other sub. I have friends that are jealous of my 10" and they have JL 12" subs in their trucks. I do have this sub in an FJ cruiser so I am not losing any sound in a trunk.
