The Metra Axxess XIAH-IPC will allow the user to play their iPod through the factory radio as well as charging the iPod. If the factory radio is text capable the iPod information will be displayed on the radio. Installation is as simple as plugging one end to the Metra Axxess XIA input device and the other end into the iPod.

Excellent wireless signal
This Axxess adapter has worked exactly as advertised the last several months. Fortunately on my laptop I have two USB ports next to each other, which made the connection to the two USB connectors very easy.
I get a very strong signal on my MacBook Pro when I would normally only get an intermittent signal - or none at all.
I even took it and used the same adapter on a Dell Laptop when its WiFi went out, and then switched the device between both computers. Excellent product.

Great way to stealthly add iPod to your stereo
I originally just added the XM package to my '07 Ford Focus. At the time I didn't own an iPod but after reading how the system could be expanded with just a simple cable I took the plunge a few months later. I have a 4th gen iPod Nano.
The cable just plugs into the XIA-D01 and you can route the other end where ever you like. Very simple to do depending on where you mount the XIA-D01.
The only surprise was the cable does charge the 4th gen Nano. I have run into this with several other iPod interface devices so it isn't a rare problem.
