I bought this for use on my boat, which has the main unit in the cabin. I installed it at the helm on the flybridge, making life much easier. The installation was easy and the directions clear. It's a bit pricy for what it is, and an LCD readout would make it even better. But I do recommend this product!

This unit is NOT waterproof, only resistant. If you hose it down it will likely leak and fail. The circuit board inside gets wet and corrodes, the unit fails.
