I have had one for over 6 months now and it still works. I have a ridiculous Rockford Fosgate amplifier that should be overpowering my power system, but I experience no dimming or significant voltage drop with this.

I have bought 1farad capacitors in the past that came with a fancy "charger/discharger" but this came with a resistor... that burned up on its first use. I charged it for about 30seconds at a time to allow it to cool, but it still turned black and took about 20x as long as the instructions say it should have. Pretty cheap, really.
