I really love this system. Installed it in my 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback about 7 months ago. I drive the system with a JL 6 channel amp with 4 channels bridged (150W RMS to each side of the UP6i's) and the other 2 channels driving a JL external/enclosed subwoofer. The system sounds so good that I elected to disconnect my rear door speakers and simply focus on sound quality.
Of course, I deadened both front doors completely before I did the installation. That really is a necessity if one wants good sound. I installed the mid-woofers in the car stock locations in the bottom front of each door (with minimum modification required) and installed the tweeters about 12" above the mid-woofers using the external mounting fixtures provided. By tilting them up and in towards the drivers and passenger's seats, they provide an outstanding sound stage and image from that location in the Versa.
The system can play dynamic, hard hitting music or it can play soft and mellow however, either way the details and musicality remain outstanding. The aluminum mid-woofers provide very balanced sound with very good mid bass kick. The silk dome tweeters are pure and provide a very open and natural sound, definitely not fatiguing at all. I really love the speakers and would highly recommend them to anyone who loves a variety of music.
One last comment. I originally was powering them with only two channels of JL power at 80W RMS and they sounded very good. But when I bridged 4 channels together to provide 2 channels of 150 W RMS to each speaker, their performance got even better, particularly the dynamics at low levels. Oh yes, I forgot to say that I used the passive crossovers that came with the system rather than go active.

I bought these after reading many reviews about their sound quality. In the past I used mostly Infinity, Polk and CDT components. These definately have a noticibly better sound quality to them. Especially in the midbass sound range. Best sounding comps I've ever installed. Love DLS.

These are some of the very best speakers you can buy. Main reason I purchased these was for the 150 rms power handling and shallow mounting speaker depth. Also price was nice for a speaker of this quality. I really didn't expect this speaker to sound as clear as it is. I looked around for good while and found these speakers to have, by far, the highest customer satisfaction rating. Save your time and money and get these so you wont be disapointed.

I was a little skeptical at first because I've never heard of this brand but I was on the phone with a Sonic rep to recommend another component set because the boston acoustic set was out of stock. I am very impressed with these. My local shop was blown away. I use a DLS CA 23 amp to run this and a Kenwood DNX7160 head unit. For a sub I have a Phoenix Gold ti10 and a Phoenix Gold s1000 and all together this sounds amazing. The quality I was looking for.
