It's Cool to Be Square
Designing high output subwoofers is no simple task. Redefining subwoofers into square shaped beasts makes this task no easier. MTX Audio’s TS5512-22 is physical proof that it has been accomplished. Integrating 600 watts of power handling along with an 115 ounce magnet structure means this subwoofer was made for plain business.
The ALDS system allows this subwoofer to efficiently crank out unrivaled SPL while staying smooth and linear. An integrated spider plateau venting system makes the woofer able to stay cool even under extreme conditions. MTX Audio revolutionized the square subwoofer by reinforcing the trapezoidal circumferential undulations allowing this subwoofer the optimum bass response. Now it’s cool to be square!

man this sub is amazing at first i was like man this is junk but it was because i had it in a small ported box but as soon as i changed the box to a bigger box made to specs i was like damn this thing slams its loud and clean. hits real hard gets louder than the L5 and doesn't distort. it also has a punchier bass than the L5 so dont be afraid of this bad boy and give it a try.

GREAT SUB. Plain and simple. Even when I tuned it down for the "break-in" week or so, it still pounded. This square design lets this sub rattle anything around it. Very clean and powerful bass. I definitely recommend this subwoofer.

I have this sub in the dual 2 ohm version, powered by the Hifonics ZXI 200.2 [great amp!] at 4 ohm mono, single sub in a sealed box. This thing pounds, sounds very accurate and musical. I had a Kicker l5 square before, that thing sounded like s*** compared to this MTX! The price, sound quality and Sonic Electronix' Fast delivery, this sub deserves to be in your vehicle too! The amp pushes 800 watts rms.... and the sub is rated at 600 RMS.... it handles the power like a champ. never sounds like it is being overpowered. This thing is a beast!
