For a 8" Sub actually sounds decent. Good for setups with limited space. If you have room however a 10" or 12" sub will be better bang for your buck. I would buy another if I had limited space.

I have this in a prefab box that is .4 cubic feet. It is getting 200 watts RMS. The sound is alright. Not bad for an 8. Louder than Kicker's bottom of the line 8, but they are cheaper than this MA Audio. Distorts a little at high volume and the surround should and doesn't in any way reflect the linear excursion capabilities of this sub. It is just for show. It does play rather deep for an 8. I like it and would recommend it. Not as loud as JBL's 8 or JL Audio's 8 and both of those sound much, much cleaner. They do cost more, however, so it is up to you which route to take. Bang for buck, 6 out of 10. Hope this was helpful.
They made sure I got the proper install kit and wiring harness and an antenna adapter I didn't know I needed. I highly recommend this site to anyone shopping for a new stereo that they plan on installing themselves. For product selection, price, and the amazing customer service, it can't be beat.
