The JVC KV-RA2 is a favorite for anyone who wants to add a CD Changer, Personal MP3 player, or other auxiliary audio/video source to their Hot-Rod, Motorcycle, Boat, Trailer or other Recreational Vehicle that may not have room to add a full DIN receiver. The KV-RA2 provides a built-in 40W x 4 Amplifier for connection to a JVC J-Link CD-Changer without the need of a JVC in-dash source unit. The supplied wired remote control, which provides track changes and volume adjustments, can easily be tucked away out-of-site in a glove-box, center-console, or saddlebag.
For the listener who keeps all their music stored on an iPod or other MP3 player this unit can easily stream your music with the addition of a 3.5mm-RCA Adapter. For MP3 player playback there is no need to connect the wired remote, your portable MP3 becomes your new remote control.

This worked well in my 72 CJ. I needed something that would hide away. I mounted in under my dash in a plastic box. The only thing that shows is the cable I plugged into it for my Ipod. You can find a universal Ipod cable online that charges your Ipod, and has RCA outputs to go into this JVC. I ride with my doors off in the rain, and don't have to worry about it getting wet. The display is in the glove box. I imagine this would be great for a boat as well, if you paired it with a satellite radio. It's old school, it even has a VCR input, but works well. I paired it with a pair of Kicker marine speakers, and it sounds great.

I mounted this in a waterproof box and put a cigarette lighter plug on it so it could be strapped to any of my atvs. It is loud enough for those riding just in front of or behind can jam too.

I used this for my ex-van because I was just using my iPhone and my friends' iPods for music and it worked great until you cranked it too high. The sound would cut out and the amp would turn off until you turned the music down.
Overall, I would recommend this product if you need something for small sound systems. If you like it loud, this product isn't for you.

I bought this amplifier for use in my classic car. By plugging in my satellite radio to the KV-RA2 and mounting it under my seat, I was able to keep my original radio in the dash and only have the KV-RA2's controller exposed.
Works great and sounds equally as good.

I ordered this for my 250 cc scooter so I could use my MP3 player. It works GREAT. What a great setup this is. The display control mounts easily wherever you want. All you need to add to this is some good speakers and you're there. Mine sounds awesome. The unit is small enough to conceal just about anywhere on a bike. I am very happy. THE PRICE WAS ABSOLUTELY UNBEATABLE !!
