For those looking to install a basic subwoofer, you are going to need a solid and reliable amplifier. The Soundstream Di475.1 is just that, a simple and reliable amplifier. Wired at 4 ohms, the amplifier will produce a stable 350 watts to a single channel. When wired down to 2 ohms, the amplifier is rated at 475 watts. That is plenty of power for a basic subwoofer that can fill in that low bass without overbearing the rest of the speakers. The Soundstream amp is made using a Mil-Spec fiberglass circuit board and powered by a PWM MOSFET power supply. If you don't have an aftermarket stereo, or just prefer to use speaker level inputs for your amplifier, this amplifier will be compatible and includes the speaker-level input harness. I would not hesitate to buy another one of these amps, or to strongly encourage a friend to purchase one . I have had several car amps in the past but none like this one, great value, a price you cannot beat. would highly recommend this amp to anyone looking for a great amp at a very reasonable price ,Thanks.

its a good starter amp. it has power but when it starts it makes a loud buzzing sound for about 45 seconds then it quiets down. I think its just the capacitor in it charging. no worries. it also is a mono amp but it has two channels it is purely for speaker configuration.i have it hooked up to an old Fosgate Punch P2 12" in a vented box. sounds good at high levels not high on the db meter though.all in all "decent"
