Complete eXcelon Performance
Kenwood eXcelon items are known for their quality construction and great sound. These Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X693 speakers are no different and continue that faithful legacy. Using the diamond array pattern on the carbon-polypropylene woofer diaphragm, the speakers gains more cone strength and improved acoustic response. Butyl rubber was chosen for the surround because of its smooth, linear cone support, as well as its durable composition. PEI Dome tweeters accompany the larger loudspeaker and result in crisp, clear highs that are not ear piercing. Each of these eXcelon speakers are carefully designed and engineered to produce the highest quality of sound so you can enjoy your music as it is meant to be heard.

I have 2 sets of these. One set in my escape running 100 rms off Memphis 2 channel. Sounds great. Highs very clear, bass is 8/10 at best, mids 7/10. My other set is running about 75 rms off vibe death box 4 channel and they sound average. I do believe that amp is not up to par so its being returned. They are also set up in both vehicles with alpine spr-69c's as other 2 door speakers. The alpine's are just in a different class. Worth the money to me. If you can afford alpine type r that would be your best choice. But if you can't these are not bad for money. Do not run these without amplifier just wasting your time. They need power. Be careful to keep fromburning voice coils they get hot quick.

I have these speakers put in the back of my 2007 grand prix. They provide good sound and alright bass. The only issue i have is i cant hear them over my stock speakers i have up front which in my opinion have better sound and bass than the kenwoods. I bought a 350w amp with them which will get the best sound out of the speakers. On a positive note though these babies are loud. one time i just decided to chill in my back seat to see how these things sounded up close and personal and needless to say they will definitely assist you in future hearing loss. But that's not a bad thing if you really want people to hear your jam.
