DLS Gothia 6.2

Audiophiles rejoice!

I have been installing/fabricating in high end car audio for 20+ years, I and have been out of the loop for the past 4 years. (I am now heavily involved in high end home audio/video). After buying a new suburban a couple of months ago, I decided it was time to come out of "car stereo retirement". I starting researching, mapping out my system, and talking to a bunch of the guys at sonic. (basically started bugging the crap out of them) to find out who was on top of the game these days. After a long couple of weeks of trying to decide what to go with for my front stage, Brendan, Darren, and the rest of the guys over there were all for the gothia 6.2s. I picked them up at the showroom in Valencia (where I was now "living for the past couple of weeks" haha) and was off on another installation adventure. After re-enforcing the front doors with 1 inch thick baffles and a half of a case of dynamat, I bolted in the seperates. I'm running off of a JL 450/4 (150x2 to the front and 75x2 to the rear which are original, German made MB quart reference components). All I have to say is these are amazing sounding components!! Off axis response is incredible! Mid bass and definition are A+ in my book. No harshness around 2k and extremely smooth/clean across the upper frequencies. The x-over networks are built very well and the gothias blend in perfectly with the MB quart rear fill and the Image dynamics subs. This an amazing sounding set of drivers that will make anyone as critical as I am, very very happy. I have to highly recommend these to anyone who actually cares about their music.
