I bought this kit strictly for the power and ground wire as I didn't need the patch cables or speaker wire. At this price it should be no surprise that it is not true 10 gauge wire. I compared it to a spool of 12 gauge wire I have from Radio Shack and its has about the same amount of copper as that.
The patch cables look to be fairly standard, not overly special, but if I needed them they would do the job. The speaker cable is at best 16 gauge and should only be used on low power applications.
As for everything else. The connectors are fairly basic, same as you can buy anywhere.
As long as this isn't for big power applications it will do the job.

I guess this kit isn't too bad for the price, although it is definitely not high end stuff. I am sure they will do the job for most people's applications though.
