I had this installed in my car in my new 2004 Mazda 3. I have never ever had a problem with it, the remote beeps when you lock or unlock. I have locked my car from 1/4 mile away at the beach. They say one mile if its line of site and I believe that. Now I live in the city and have a bad memory locating my car. With this system the chirp the car makes when unlocking guides me to it. I bought this alarm when it first came out and payed lots of money for everything and installed. They even offered me a package that I could call a phone number and enter a code and open or even start the car anywhere in the world. Now 7 years later my car remote is starting to have problems. And last all the features it has is unbelievable. Good luck and I hope my story finds you.
