This is my first purchase from Sonic and my first car amp purchase. A friend had recommended me this amp; he said Rockford's were very reliable and we're underrated. He didn't lie! You definitely get what you pay for with Rockford.
The amp is smaller than I expected -- but that could simply because I've never really had any other amps to compare it with. It feels very sturdy, does not seem cheaply made whatsoever.
My amp pushes 534 wRMS @ 2 ohms, 34 watts over the stated, which is a nice little surprise.
This amp WILL get hot if you're requesting a lot of power from it. Just keep it well ventilated (i.e. not under a seat..)
All the terminals seem solid and sturdy. None of them wobble.
This combo comes with the amp, a 4 gauge wiring kit (it's more like 6 gauge, but that's what you get for not purchasing a separate kit), and a punch level controller. The PLC is great for adjusting bass on the fly. The knob on it is very stiff which makes you less apt to accidentally flick it and succumb yourself to a barrage of bass (but, who said that was bad anyways?). The plastic casing on the PLC is pretty strong, you can squeeze it and it doesn't feel like either ends are pushing in. It also comes with a mount on the top so you can screw it to something.
The only downside of this amp is that it doesn't include any sort of subsonic filter. Of course, many people wouldn't care about this, however, having a toggleable 15Hz subsonic would be awesome.
All in all, this is a great amp that I would suggest to anyone looking to power some lower wattage subs. This combo is $10 less than just getting the Prime 500-1 alone. If you want a reliable, under rated amp that comes with a wiring kit, this is the product for you!

It's good but could be better. It gets kinda hot. I have it @ 2 ohms powering my MTX Terminator subs. It's a huge improvement compared to the amp that came with the package. SQ is good

This is the best amp I have ever owned. It pushes hard, and I have it pumpin 2 Pioneer TS-W303R Subs. This amp does run warm, but not hot, but Rockford Fosgate is know for running slightly warm. This does not effect performance though. The PLC is very nice, and provides a perfect bass control outside of the headunit, but be sure to plan on the how it's going to wired into your system. I routed the PLC wire along with my RCA line, which work out very nicely.
All in all this is a great amp, and is a great buy!

Rockford makes the best amps, this amp can go anywhere from $150-300 anywhere else...
the bonus is the amp installation kit!
This stuff bangs really hard at only 330 W RMS (1 10" Type R)
I would recommend this to everyone who is on a budget
