Solid Product!

I absolutely love this microphone. I initially bought the product for its design and price. Its black and matches the rest of my home studio. I'm actually very picky with the way all my equipment looks. Its also constructed of all metal. It has survived a few drops and still looks perfect.

Now onto sound quality. It does require +48v of phantom power which both my mixer and my portable Zoom H4n had so this was not a problem for me. The audio quality is pretty solid. Its not on par with professional equipment, but for the price that you can buy it for, it does very well for its price.

Beware! Needs 48V phantom power to work

The microphone is great, but not suited for all applications. It needs to be connected to a phantom power 48V (e.g. a mixer with this facility), otherwise it won't work at all. So beware if you want to use it as a 'normal' microphone on a karaoke, amplifier or even your computer for speech recording, the microphone will be dead!
This fact is a bit hidden in the specification list. It would be better be listed in the main description. I got fooled by this, and probably others will be too. While a great product, it didn't suit my purpose, and I need to buy another microphone.
