Worked

November 19, 2012

This product was required to fix my old Audiovox cruise control. It did the trick and I have had no issues with it. I would buy another if I needed it.

I have 4 fans that pull .7v ea, I also have 3 amps, Fosgate T500,NVX JAD800.4,alpine MRV-f300. My question is, is this relay enough to power everything? And do I need to fuse all lines to the fans and amps?
belinda s on Apr 17, 2015
Best Answer: I'm assuming you meant the fans pull 0.7A each, not 0.7V. And I'm also assuming you you're wanting to hook up the remote wire for the amps to the relay and not the power wire. If these assumptions are correct then yes this relay will be fine. The relay can pass 30A. The amplifiers remote wire only pulls a few milliamps. So even if you over shoot it at 1A per device you're looking at 7A total which is way under what the relay can handle. I would recommend putting a fuse on the power input side of the relay. Don't go over board with the fuse. Just a small 5A or 10A fuse will be fine.
