Kicker KS Series
Does a serious factory upgrade, with more muscle at an affordable price, sound too good to be true? What it sounds like are some of the loudest, clearest coaxials ever hidden behind a door on under a back deck.
Give factory sound a serious power injection with a KS-Series Coaxial Speaker upgrade. With added improvements on the woofers and tweaked tweeters, dropping them in where factory speakers were seems like a no-brainer. The curvilinear, gray woofer cones, Santoprene surround, and newly designed basket give KS Coaxials the extra brawn to deliver a smooth, rich sound at any volume.
The Titanium-domed tweeters contain a stout neodymium magnet dipped in ferrofluid for maximum coolness, recreating highs that rival live performance. Give your system the upgrade that it deserves with Kicker KS!

I recently bought
Sony Deck 50w x4
Sony Xplode 6x9 floor front
(above 2, an unbeatable Black Friday deal at Best buy)
Kicker KS525
Kicker KS693 6x9 read sides
(above 2, here at Sonix)
put into a mid 2000's Grand Caravan.
Of all the speakers i bought , these 5.25 kickers make the biggest jump in sound for me, They are immediate, full sounding dashboard fronts that make my late 80's early 90's Hi-NRG dance music come forth in full glory. The Mids and Highs are well rounded and can be EQ'd to be overkill, lots of room to grow when playing with the -6 to +6 on the dials.
The Lows of this are present but like most say, don't expect them to thump you, expect them to "fill out" the bottom range for you (and thump just a tiny bit :) Turning my cd's up to about 40% makes my system in this minivan sound like a club. I cant turn it up too much more, (in my 40's, mostly looking for well balanced sound, the days of wanting to rattle the trunk off are long gone)
At about 40% the volume brings out the threshold of these speakers where they open up and WOW me.
I bought these speakers here at SonicElectonix. I called first with questions and the guy on the phone was happy to get my call and super helpful and knew his stuff, I would gladly buy from these guys again, the shipping from KY to FL took 3 days total.
I am looking forward to Christmas deals here at Sonix, I have a Subwoofer and Amp yet to buy!
BTW, I had Best Buy put these speakers in for me and they did a nice job. They installed 2-6x9's and 2-5.25 for around 150bucks. Tearing apart the dash and yanking panels off the rear walls doesn't sound like fun to me so maybe some will think it was a tad pricey, for me it was a nice ending to a great shopping experience here at Sonix.
Overall, These KS525's are WELL worth the money. Get them, You will NOT be disappointed !

Great speakers, these are real good especially for the price, u cant go wrong. I bought all new speakers from kicker to replace the factory ones and with no amp powering these, just a head unit they soumded dam good, now obviously they are no subwoofer so do not expect deep ass bass u would get from a 12 inch but they do complimebt any speaker system nicely.

The Kicker KS525's are awesome when listening to rock. They have been very durable and the sound is crisp and clean. (Sounds better with my new amp). You get your money's worth out of them for sure, i would recommmend buying these.
PROS: Clean, Crisp sound, and Durable
CON: Features are limited (but still worth the money)
