Nice seal and seams pretty indestructible.

I can't make a complete review of this since I cannot use them but I will warn those who want to use them for 5.25" speakers, they won't fit with them. They are are too large for the 5.25" speaker to mount or seal in. This would be ok of you were using 5.25" adapters mounted into 6.5" native speaker housings but there's not much point in doing that to begin with.

I used these on my Audiobahn AS62Q (6.5'') speakers in the rear doors of my '94 S10 Blazer. They certainly seal up the speakers much better than the factory "rain-shield" which is open at the bottom 1/3 of the cup and it has open slats about where the magnet would be. Not to mention my speakers are so deep that they kind of push the back of the cup out...it was time to replace them. These are totally sealed except what you'll have to cut for your wire to go through, but I went over that with duct tape when I was done. I wish they went straight back instead of being contoured so they had a little more airspace, but for the price (and if you have a sub) you can't do much better. I added the optional crossovers for my speakers (model ASX02) at the same time so I'm not sure what did what to the bass, but for the peace of mind not having to worry about water they're worth it. These could be tougher, too...they dent pretty easily and something this flexible can't be that good for sound.

I used a set of these to keep the water off of my JL Audio components I insatlled in the doors of my 2000 Corolla. It gives me a piece of mind knowing that if water gets into my door, I have done what I can to prevent damage to my speakers.
