Audiobahn AW1251J 12" SubwooferSonic Electronix is now carrying Audiobahn's new 2011 subwoofers. The Natural Sound series features the same attractive appearance you're used to from Audiobahn with the chrome plated 3-dimensional flame baskets. The natural sound series are equipped with a 2" dual 4 ohm voice coil, vented oversized back plate, and 45/60 oz magnet. These subwoofers can operate in a 2 ohm or 8 ohm configuration and come in a 15", 12" or a 10" model, each featuring multi-connect lug lock terminals, which offer increased versatility in wiring multiple subwoofers.
This woofer features a KM3 coated, non-pressed paper cone, which is lightweight and efficient for a true-to-life sound, hence the name “Natural Sound.” The J-type narrow foam surround gives the woofer more cone surface area, more efficiency and the ability to reproduce a wider range of audio frequencies.

This is the 3rd set of subs i ever had. I had the 15 version tho. I like these to be on 500 watts. I did my first show with these on a small Sony Xplode amp (said 600rms, but i beg to differ it seemed like 900rms or 1k but what do i know) i did a 138.6db (not to shabby) in meca as1@ headrest firing out of the trunk with car sealed (windows & doors shut) & the sub box was sealed (no port) and took 3rd of 7 people, behind a 142.6db (1st) & a 139.3(2nd). If i had a ported box that coulda been a diff story. That was my first show ever after the show i was hooked to car audio. Really wish i could have tried these in a vented box with same amp just for kicks. I recommend these for anyone.

I had a pair of these subs when I first got into car audio. I thought they were killer, but I was just then introduced into car audio. Now after a few systems later I realize that these subs are far from the best. If you're just getting into car audio these will bang enough to please you, but don't expect a long-life span with these if you want to bang the block with them. I banged with them for about a solid year until my Kenwood KAC-9105D finally blew them.

I was a little skeptical with this brand but it surprised me. They look great and sound good. Good bass on a budget.
