the boston g512-44 is a great subwoofer its very loud and has clear bass with no noticable distorsion i highly recomend it. i also like the replacable soft part system which allows you to replace the voice coil and cone without replacing the whole sub. its 3 inch excursion looks awsome when its bassing this sucker really flys and it will keep up with subwoofers rated at over twice its power. its rugged and ive never had a problem with it overheating or anything.

I had this woofer in a 4+ cubic foot enclosure, and the voice coils went out within a month or two. It it is in a 1-1.5 ft^3 enclosure it sounds very nice. I was throwing it with 375-400 watts at 4 ohms. So for those of you with smaller spaces or smaller boxes give this one a try. I would also be interested in hearing it paired with the passive radiator.

This sub creates the clearest, most perfectly represented bass notes I have ever heard. It does this at no loss to power and sheer sound production. I would recommend this sub to anyone who appreciates music for what it is.

I've had 6 different brands of subs, from early Kickers and JLs, to CDT. CDT subs slam but their efficiency per watt (volume related to power) is a bit on the low side. These Boston's truly have achieved the best of both worlds, high wattage handling and remarkable 94+ efficiency! Also a PERFECT compromise between fidelity and SPL. Just can't go wrong, except I like to buy from authorized dealers for the two-year warranty. It's worth it if you put these through their paces on a daily basis.
