Excellent Audio at unbeatable price.
Im blown away at the sound quality of these headphones for the price. Unbelievable!! I own a ton of different headphones ranging from basic "included with purchase" headphones to high end audiophile cans and these Audio Technica ATH-M35 sound amaze me every-time I put them on.
Now I'm not saying these are the BEST headphones out there, but they could be the best for the price. The sound quality is really even. There aren't any "accelerated" frequencies (like added bass with the Monster Beats or Sony MDR-XB700). When I listen to my music it sounds great... period. I listen to a lot of rock, fold, indie, etc. I dont really use these headphones for my electronica or hip-hop because i have others that sound better for those styles (bassy, full sound). The sound stage is defined and open. They are comfortable, but not the most comfortable on the market. The fit is tight and snug, but not burdensome.
Overall, these headphones are fantastic! I put the sound quality on par with the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro or the Shure SRH440. I think the HD280 and the SRH440 are more comfortable, but they are also more expensive.
For the price, best headphone purchase I've ever made!

Audio Technica knows how to make great studio headphones. They are not heavy on bass like Beats and others and have a very clean sound. My other pair of headphones is Audio Technica ATHM50, a step up and even a little better. A lot of post production studios as well as production studios use AT headphones. There is a Cadillac commercial that shows a kid on a skateboard listening to music and he has a pair of ATHM50's on that I'm sure the prop stylist borrowed from the sound guy. Can't say enough about the value of both of these headphones.

I bought these headphones hoping they would be mid level quality headphones. They surpassed my expectations. Very high quality, the extra long cord is nice to have and they close up for travel real well.
