Sonic Electronix is now carrying the brand new 2011 line of Rockford Fosgate Prime Series Car Audio Subwoofers. The R2SD4-10 10" subwoofer has a peak power rating of 400 watts and a continuous RMS power rating of 200 watts giving you a comfortable amount of bass when installing one or some real deep bass when installing more than one. Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former
By using an anodized aluminum voice coil former on their subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate is able to dissipate heat from the voice coil more efficiently. A hot voice coil can melt the adhesive bonds, which will lead to eventual subwoofer failure. The aluminum voice coil former acts as a heat-sink to dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil cool during high SPL conditions.
Conforms to CEA-2031
Rockford Fosgate has built this subwoofer to conform to the CEA-2031 loudspeaker power handling industry standards. This means that you can trust the subwoofer to have the capacity to safely handle the continuous (RMS) power rating. Having a CEA-2031 power handling is important when matching a subwoofer to an amplifier because the power ratings are accurate.
Stitched Tinsel Leads
To improve the reliability and performance by reducing fatigue and possible shorting, Rockford Fosgate has stitched the tinsel leads to the spider. The multipoint periodic stitching lead wires reduce the mass of the tinsel leads to spread the stress over a greater area. This improves the reliability and performance of the subwoofer.

I bought two of these for my 2006 Extended Cab Silverado and hooked them up to a 1200 watt 400 RMS amp. I have to say that these things are amazing for the price you pay! I was limited on space so I had to go with shallow mounts and I am very impressed with the performance of them. I would recommend these to anyone who has a limited budget and still wants nice, clean bass. Make sure you get the right amp for them though!

Execellent sub I am currently running two of these subs with the 1000 watt Kenwood 2 channel amp and they pound. I am very pleased with these purchase. Like I said before I love kenwood, they make kenwood and rockford fosgate what a great combination. If you want good deep base buy these combo, the price is right and your friends will envy you.

I have it on the back seat of my f-250 diesel crew cab. It sounds and feels real good.. I'm very happy with these purchase. Big difference, and just right!!
