Feel the bass with Boston Acoustics
If you are looking for a drop-in subwoofer solution, Boston Acoustic's GTuned Series Loaded Enclosures are the way to go. Available in single 10", 12" or dual 10", 12" models. These high quality MDF enclosures feature PowerVent tuning for optimum efficiency, impact and extension. Loaded with G1 car subwoofers that incorporate features like RadialVent cooling for increased power handling and SureSet impedance selection and protection. SureSet uses fuse protection to prevent damage from overdrive. For convenience the fuse protection has been moved from the subwoofer to the terminal cip for easier access. These loaded enclosures feature a GTuned port which uses an oversized port to reduce port turbulence giving you crisper, deeper and clearer bass. This sub is great. I bought it to replace my Lanzar 1000 watt sub. At first I was very pessimistic thinking that 400 watts would not do anything compared to 1000 watts. I could not have been more wrong! This sub hits at least 3x harder than my 1000 watt. It is an amazing sub for such a low price.

I put it in my 2002 Dodge Neon and hooked it up a Cerwin Vega 150 watt rms amp( HED 300.2) with line converter for the factory head unit. Its a little underpowered but it sounds awesome. This sub can reach very low frequenecies quite nicely if you dont want boomy mid bass. I have my amp's low pass set to 50 hz and its perfect. The enclosure is very large so you might consider the 10 inch version if concerned about trunk space. The sub itself is high quality, strong material with good excursion range. At 150- 200 watts you can hear it outside of the car but you wont be shaking the whole block, just so you know. Good sub, good price, respected brand-name, sounds great, nuff said.

This deal was too good to pass up. I have owned Boston Acoustic products for nearly 20 years and prefer their sound to most other brands in their price range i.e. Polk and Infinity. This speaker hits hard with only 150 RMS from a small Kenwood amp. The only feature I wish it had is a way to seal the port because I prefer sealed boxes, but it plays loud and clean. The fuse located on the speaker terminal cup is a nice touch, but I hope to never need to replace it. BTW it arrived with an improper label on the speaker terminals but customer service was great at helping me figure out the discrepancy.
