At first I wasn't sure they would be worth it but after hearing them I was glad I bought them. They create amazing special sounds. They can be accommodated in almost any enclosure and always sound amazing.

Great speakers for anyone that is aiming for clarity (even at high volume levels).
When they say 80-23k Hz they mean that these speakers can punch you in the ear drum with their highs. The highs on these speakers will be described as very bright or even harsh to some. The crossover is comes with does have a -4db setting which evens them out fairly well. This being the case I would strongly recommend listening to them before you complete the re-paneling of your doors.
Keep in mind that these were designed with crisp highs in mind. The lower mid range in these speakers is nearly non-existent. With heavy EQ modification they can produce accurate lower mid range, but not at any serious volume (think laptop loud) without driving them into clipping.
If you listen to rock you will likely want to supplement these with a set of 6.5" or 6 x 9" speakers with solid lower mid range even if you have one to two 10's or 12's. If you're running 8's it might be alright.
If you only have two speakers in your vehicle these probably wont be the speakers you want.
The above may sound like strong negatives. I didn't intend this review to be negative what-so-ever. Every speaker has an intended use and these strongly deliver what they were intended for -crisp, clean, and loud upper mids and highs.
My only complaint would be the size of the crossover. It was intentionally designed to be much larger than it really needed to be. Being that I bought these knowing how big it was, I can't really count it against them..
This intent fits my system perfectly so I'm giving them 5's across the board.

I won a 93 corolla, and i am looking for component speakers going in to my front doors and i came accross these which are of same size as my front speakers.
As I have gone through the specification for the speakers I find them to be good, best but a bit expensive, but worth for real music lovers.
