The Audio Technica 4040SP Studio Microphone Pack Packs a Double Whammy!

The AT4040SP Studio Pack packs a double whammy indeed with two of Audio Technica’s critically-acclaimed 40 Series cardioid condenser microphones: the AT4040 and the AT4041. Both microphones are transformer-less, which results in superb transient response, and crystal clear outputs. Both have been designed to meet (if not exceed) the specific acoustical requirements of professional recording studios, broadcast studios and live sound environments. For your convenience, a shock mount, a stand clamp and a windscreen are included, along with a protective wooden carrying case.

The AT4040

The AT4040 features an advanced large-diaphragm that is precisely tensioned to offer silky smooth and natural sonic characteristics. A beautiful unity of technical brilliance and artistic inspiration, the AT4040 offers exceptionally low noise, a broad dynamic range and high-SPL capability for greatest versatility. The microphone’s low-noise circuitry is symmetrical and transformerless, resulting in exceptional transient response and clean output signals for transparent reproduction of even the most troublesome of instruments and sound effects.

The AT4041

The AT4041 cardioid condenser microphone features a transparent and extended frequency response with a small hump in the high-frequencies as well as a transformerless output, giving it the ability to handle very high SPL. The AT4041 is a solid microphone housed in a turned brass casing with black chrome plating that provides high durability and low reflectivity. The element back plate holds a fixed charge and has been aged to provide energy stabilization. The surface of the back plate is precision milled to ensure maximum charge linearity, resulting in a reduction in both frequency response peaks and diaphragm break-up distortion.
