I installed these in a 97 neon in the doors and tweeters on the dash. I set the tweeters on the lowest setting on the crossovers and still found them incredibly shrill. After an extended break in they are now enjoyable to listen to.
The woofers produce good clean sound and aren't to boomy in the bass department(nice and tight). They tend to get distorted at very high volumes, but miles better than any factory coaxial speakers.
Overall i am very satisfied with thier performance and would recommond them to a friend for a upgrade to factory speakers.

These speakers sound GREAT! I've been through quite a few from MB Quart, Power Bass, Polk, etc. and none of them ever sounded right to me. These have come the closest to what I like without breaking the bank. The crossover point is just right. Not harsh at all. Something that has always bugged me with other speakers even with heavy EQing. Mid-bass isn't going to wow you but it does blend in nicely with a subwoofer. Loudness is respectable as the specs say.
The only thing I hate is the tweeter mount. No, they're not flush. They're the most annoying angle mounts on the planet. I used some surface mounts from another pair of tweeters and fit them inside.

Replaced some Infinity Ref's with these. Not happy with them, had to modify the opening for them to fit. The tweeters are ok but the midrange is terrible. I would not buy them again.

i have had these components for 3 years now. i have moved them into each vehicle i have had over the years and they sound great! they aren't power hungry and will give you lots of crisp sound if tuned right. overall i like them alot cause they wont break your pocket and give you years of great sound!

Hi,
Overall i would say this is a great OEM speaker replacement,
Even though this is a entry level BA speaker it performs well, midbass hits well and the tweeter is fairly accurate. But you need to properly align your tweeter to get the best staging out it.
If your new to setting up SQ system on your car the S60 is a good start and reference for your future upgrade for a much better systems.
I had these speaker for over a year but replace them already with Hertz ESK 163L.
