Power Specifications - Full Range Channels

The RMS power rating is the measure of continuous power that an amplifier can output, or a speaker can handle. It is the most accurate depiction of real, continuous power that the industry has so far.

If the final impedance of your speakers or subwoofers equals 4 ohms, this is how much power this amplifier will supply at that ohm level. The higher the RMS wattage, the more clean and loud your music will sound.

Each channel on an amplifier will power one speaker using a positive and negative cable. There are various types of amplifiers, each designed to power a certain number of speakers. Preamp Outputs
Many amplifiers are equipped with RCA preamp outputs which pass the original music signal from the source to additional amplifiers. This is known as daisy chaining because the source connects to the first amp, and the first amp connects to the second amp, etc. The advantage to daisy chaining is you only need one 2-channel RCA cable to transfer the signal from the head-unit to the amplifier, and then one additional cable for each amp being daisy chained.

Built-in Crossover

A crossover is a type of filtering system that permits only certain frequencies to play. A Low-Pass (LP) crossover allows only frequencies below its setting to get through which is good in the case of some subwoofers. A High-Pass(HP) filter allows frequencies above its setting to pass through, this is normally used on speakers.

I have this bridged at 4 ohms running a single 10" sub and it really packs a punch. Nice and clean too! No hassles with the installation and the compact size makes it easy to put this amp almost anywhere. Both low level and high level inputs too. After hours of playing music, the amp does not get hot at all. Very pleased with my purchase. Would recommend to anyone looking for a compact amp to run a 4 ohm sub.

This amp is NOT stable at 2 ohms bridged, as stated.

Best Answer: This amplifier will provide plenty of power to the single 8 inch Infinity sub-woofer. The sub only needs 250W RMS . That rating is assuming you will be placing it a sealed enclosure. Any other enclosure will reduce the amount of power the subwoofer will consume. I am currently running two REF860W in parallel (~2Ohm Impedance) in a sealed enclosure. I am using a JBL GTO-501EZ amplifier that is providing 500W RMS total to both subs and it sounds GREAT!!!!! You should have no problem using this Lanzar amplifier with two subs. If you are going to only use 1 sub, turn down the power/gain to half way to protect the subwoofer.

I'm in the process of building a small boat (12' skiff, but designed by me). I was going to pair this to, preferably 1, but possibly 2 Pyramid PW677X. My concern is the wiring from this amp to the subs. As I typically run 10-12awg for subs in cars, I'm worried about the harness not having a heavy enough wire. Should i really be concerned with a 6.5" sub on what looks like 16awg wire?

Best Answer: Probably not, but all bepends on how much power your going to put to them, subs only rated at 300 rms, so As long as U dont put more than 300 amps to them they should be ok, its always a good practice to up size your wire, when unsure ,its not going to hurt eny thing if U go bigger!

Best Answer: Yes. A two channel amp means it can drive two speakers separately. A four channel will drive four speakers separately. Most two channel amps are bridgeable to drive one speaker and most four channel amps are bridgeable to run two separate speakers. Mind the OHM recommendations when doing this to prevent amp damage...
