OPTI7001D Testing

We did a test on the Lanzar OPTI7001 but be for we go into the test I have to say we have been in the audio business since the middle eighties this amp is overall a good amp one of the top amps that is out there. But the customer service at sound around is terrible they don't know nothing about the opti amps. Ok to the test we had the batteries resting @ 13 Volt @.05 ohm low pass all the way up subsonic all the way down no bass boost gain is set at 3 clock let's review final test results volume rolling up to 48 before clipping peak frequency 32hz 11.8 volt drop power out 8,408 box rise to .96 slp 154.0

This amp is a beast best bang for the buck!! Amp will run at .35 daily with no problem as long as you have a big battery bank!

Enough Power.

I can honestly say that this is one of the most powerful amplifiers out there, at least considering the price, this amp rocks, I have two 2500w RMS 15" woofers connected in 1 ohm load, and this amp makes them rock, shook the boxes to pieces, and I had to re-glue the rear windshield in my truck. I have had plenty of other large amps, but this takes the cake. You can feel the "heavy" bass with this amp.

+ Gives you all the power you'll need.
+ 0.5 ohm @ 7000w RMS in enough !
+ Is really heavy, and oozes quality, innards look really heavy duty.

- Heavy, you need to take care when mounting, I had to make a wooden frame, to provide enough support.
- Needs a lot of power, we're talking 2x 50mm2 cables, capacitors, and an extra battery or two, big alternator helps as well.

Iv had this amp installed for about a week I'm a competitor and this amp has loads of power it turned my 2500 wrms sa nightshade 15s into a whole new level and its half ohm stable I would recommend this amp to any one who needs serious power thanks !!!!!!
