I've heard and read a lot of debate on the flame series amplifiers, so I figured I'd check it out myself. I started out with an A2300HCT paired with 3 12" JL Audio W3 V2 D4's in the back of my '98 Buick regal...its only running at 2.67 ohm (about 900 watts) and it SLAMS! I love the flexability of a sub amp that is 2 channel bridgable to 1 channel @ 1 ohm stable. I liked it so much that I picked up an A1500HCT to power my 2 15" Kicker CompVX's. The amp is a perfect match for the suba as they are run parallel-parallel @ 1 ohm. The only two things about these amps you need to be consederate of is 1, they are power hungry monsters!, and 2, the gain control. These amps are rated anywhere between 200mv and 8v input. Make sure that your gain matches the voltage outputs of your pre-outs in your head unit. And last but not least, for the price, where else are you gonna find an amp rated at 2000 watts RMS @ 1ohm with 0.05% THD?

I would ONLY recommend this amp for someone with subs that can handle it..... I currently am running 2x 2003 Audiobahn 10" Ultra Excursion subs on it wich are 900RMS Ea. Ran a friends 2x P3 12's on it and they didnt last long, and the gain was about around 4/5ths...

sweet lookin amp, but it rattles horribly even a few feet from the sub box. At 1ohm it overheats after about an hr of hard play unless theres alot of air blowing over it. makes decent power. im doubting it actually has 4000 watts. with only 120amps of fuse its only possible to get 1700rms even at 100% efficiency. decent amp but theres better out there

I have owned Two of these in less than a year. When I needed it to be, it was stupid loud. BUT even NEVER pushing it past the limits nor AT the limit for long at all, two of them manage to fail. Flame Amps To me are unreliable.
