Good sound but a little short on the low end.
Put these in the doors of a Ram 1500. Mids and highs are well done but really came to life when I put a dedicated sub in the back. Removing that channel really opened them up..

Great sound. Minimal modification to mount in '02 Honda Civic.

Need a sub to be perfect!
These speakers beg for a sub with the well defined highs and mids. You will notice that they sound amazing on songs without low bass, but play a rap song and prepare to be disappointed. I love the speakers though because i put pioneer 6.5s in my other truck the other day and the "bass" they produced sounds fake, versus these and they sound clear. I put 4 of these in a 2009 dodge ram and 2 3.5 bostons in dash, soundstage is amazing but my system is crying for bass.

Not impressed
I had 4 of these in my old jeep, powered them with an amp, and I was not at all impressed.
They deliver the bass, but that's about all they deliver - and the low-freq. response isn't very wide, so regardless, you'll be missing most bass frequencies. Imagine how music would sound if all the bass dynamics were taken out and replaced with a single note. This is how these speakers sound.
Highs and mids are muffled almost as if there was a heavy towel over the speaker. Even when I turned up the mids and treble with my head unit, the speakers didn't sound better - just more shrill. This is about what I'd expect from a $35 speaker, but these are going for twice that.
Not recommended. This will likely be the last Boston Acoustics product I purchase.

Bostons s65RC
Graet Speakers for the Buck. Installed them in my 02 Honda Accord. Compared to the Stock Speakers these thing rock. It was even powered by the Factory HU. Defenantly a Great speaker for the Money,

Boston Acoustic S65RC
Since I have a 99 Honda Accord, I had to go with a very shallow speaker to fit in the front doors. Knowing this takes away from the amount of bass the speaker can produce, I think they lack more mid-bass than I assumed. The highs and mids are okay, and the imaging is nothing to write home about. If I hadn't gotten such a deal from sonicelectronix I would have been highly disappointed with my purchase.

Awsome speakers
The bass response is pretty good for its size. ive had these speakers for about 4 months and they dont over heat. I would recommend these to anybody trying to upgrade their factory system.

Great, clear speaker
I installed these on a 2006 accord lx se in the front. They made the most dramatic difference in sound compared with the rear speakers that I replaced.
I had to drill holes for the mounting brackets, but beside that, installation wasn't too bad.
The sound is great, and they are driven pretty well by the stock stereo. i did a lot of research and was pleased with the price/quality.

Can't go wrong with Boston Acoustics.
Great sound at a great price. Super clean mids and highs from this set of S65RCs that are low profile to fit in most factory speaker locations. The low frequency response could be better. However, I just replaced the factory speakers for my application. A separate amp would definitely wake up the lows a little more. Pair these with a nice subwoofer setup from SonicElectronix and enjoy.
