I had 2 of those King Kongs in my Mazda 6 damn, it has broken many things in my trunk, and blew my screws out of my amp like 3 times, now it has broken something inside my amp, I don't know what its broken. it's one of the best subs I have owned. This subwoofer is like no other, I have owned RE audio RE series, Alpine Type R's and this one, I think this the one is loud enough its almost taken my car apart. Damn, Kicker Livin Loud... Hell yea, if you got 2 of those babies!!!

I have owned many other brand subwoofers and heard mostly all as well and i have never been as blown away as i am with this sub.Hands down best sub at this rms power, loud and clean. Dont let anybody tell you to get the l7 over this sub,l7 is good but for the same loudness with a cleaner sound, this is it.

It's so hard to find a good subwoofer and yet leave useful trunk space for my mustang convertible and I have tried a lot. After many hours of research on the Internet and asking around, I know 10" won't cut it, so I bought this Kicker 12" CVX and load it in a Bazooka 12" bass tube and !BOOM! even with Dynamat Xtreme in my trunk it can still literally shakes the whole car. I guess it's too much for this small car but I really like the extreme bass its making, it's also like massaging my back every time it hits hard.
My bass can now be heard (and felt) when the top is down even going north of 70MPH.
I use Memphis MCD500 to power this monster. The Bazooka tube helps me to easily remove the sub whenever I need all of the trunk space but beware this Kicker CompVX sub is not lightweight.
