Powerful Little Amp
The RE Audio DTX 2000.1 definitely produces the power it claims. I have it wired to a 1 ohm load and its not only stable, but produces every bit of the 1000 watts it claims. I'm sure its underrated at the 4 and 2 ohm loads! I have it pushing 2 Kicker CVR 10's Dual 4 ohm, and they pound pretty hard with the bass knob only a quarter of the way up. I have had some overheating issues with it when the volume is turned up, but nothing too serious. Overall, good, powerful entry level amp. I would recommend it!

I purchased a few of these amps a month ago and let me just say they are great. This is one of the few amps in this price range that can be strapped together, which is the main reason I bought them. I took it upon myself to clamp test it and found with a box rise of 2 ohms and at 40 HZ it will put out a clean 650 rms just under the distortion point, and if ran to clipping it will do 800 rms. so I definitely believe this amp will do every bit of 1000 watts and more. Another big thing I like about this amp is the fact that it utilizes Phillips screw terminals instead of an Allen wrenches because everyone has a Phillips screw driver laying around. the only thing this amp lacks is a cooling fan and it has plastic ends, it also get a little warm so it will only get 4 stars for design/ looks, but then again this is RE's entry level amp.
