It's Alpine...Enough Said!

I purchased this amp to pair with the 10" NVX NSW104 subwoofer. I have a crew cab Dodge Ram, and I put it in a custom sealed box behind the driver's side under the back seat. I was just looking for something in the 300W (RMS) range to improve the factory sound. I've been running it for a few weeks now, and I LOVE it! The PROS: It's Alpine! I could just stop right there, but to be more informative I'll continue with my full list. It came with a birth sheet from the factory that said it tested at 275W @ 2 ohm which is 25 over the listed watts. It runs extremely efficient and never gets hot. It has a very small footprint and is very easy to install. There is zero distortion and it sounds great with any type of music. The sub has a range of 200-350 rms, and this amp pushes it perfectly. At first I was a little worried I wasn't getting a powerful enough amp since NVX says it runs optimally at 350W, and that I would have to run it at max power to fully optimize the sub, but the Sonicelectronix guys assured me it would be a good pair, and again it doesn't even get warm to the touch. I am SO glad I got it. I can't imagine the sound being any better than it is now. The CONS: I have only one. The amp doesn't come with the bass knob. You have to purchase it separately. However, it's not a big deal at all, because I can adjust the bass level from my head unit, which is the JVC KW-R900BT that I purchased with the package. Besides, when I tuned the amp, I set the gain almost to the highest setting and the bass level on the amp very low. Bottom line, I would highly recommend this amp to anyone wanting a moderate upgrade from a factory system. You won't be disappointed.

Worth the money

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

this amp is worth what there asking i bought this amp when it first came out for $500 and it is perfect this amp is more than enough power for your insides i have 5 speakers on it and i cant even turn the level half way up because this amp puts out so much when its bridged running at 4ohm this amp is the best amp for the price gets a little warm to the touch but never shut off so other than that iv never had a problem with this amp

Crisp, Clean & Powerful

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

This amp is plenty powerful for mids and highs. It pushes my door speakers (Boston SX-60 fr.; S-65 rr) to levels far exceeding the realms of comfortable. The built in crossover is set to 65Hz. Like I said mids and highs. I have not had any issues with over heating or clipping. This is a high quality amp at a bargain basement price

just what i needed.

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

previously had a 125x4 mtx amp powering my highs and it sounded good, hooked this up to 4 Sony XPlod 6.5s and its so clean and loud. love the simplicity and compactness.

This is a great amp

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

I love alpine. This amp sound great with my component speakers from alpine and my kenwood 6x9's. I don't have any problems pushing both sets.

Great amp

Powerful little amp. Mine tested at 270w @ 2ohm,rms. Plenty of punch for an 8",10" even a 12" sub.

Great amp at a great price!

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

This amp was so easy to set up! I have it hooked to my 9886 CD Player to power 2 sets of Infinity references and they sound great! Clarity, power, no clipping, what more can you ask for!? Not to mention it bears the Alpine name so you know it'll be a quality product.

Great Amp for first setup

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

I purchased this amp to run the components for the front doors. I have the amp bridged for the 100x2 at 4ohms setup. efficient clean power. I don't even have the gain up that much and its already more then I can handle. It does get warm to the touch after an hour of use. Only thing its missing is an option to run active setup

Great Product

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

I originally bought a Pioneer Premier DEH-P490iB with 4 Infinity Reference 6812cf Speakers for my 2000 F150. I hooked everything up and thought is sounded alright but felt my system was still lacking something....this AMP!...I run all 4 speakers in 4-Channel mode, mids and highs sound great and it produces a good amount of bass, don't feel like I even need a sub. This Amp is amazing, really brought my system to life, highly reccomended

power for a ittle thing

The following review is for a previous version (MRP-F250).

i am always surprised by alpine. There amps are so small but they put out loud clean bass. When i connected this amp to my infinity components and 3-way 6x9 i wasnt expecting a lot but to my surprise it made my speakers sound great. I know am not pushing them to the max with this amp but i love the way it sounds.
