This sub is INCREDIBLE, and a heavy beast for a ten. When you input the thiele parameters into Eminence software and do Klipple analysis - the software thinks the sub is an 18" subwoofer! It moves more than 99% of any sub I've ever seen, including 12's and 15's. This sub produces the deepest, most high impact bass I ever heard from a 10" sub and sounds great doing so. I have 1 JL 12W7 in my Volvo and it's an awesome sub. And yet this 10" is about every bit as good - and hits just as low!!! Not to mention it cost 1/4 the price. Unbelievable subs Eclipse! One of the best 'overall' I've EVER owned - and I've owned at least 25 different subs over the past 15 years. I'd imagine the 12" version is bone crushing.

I recently bought two of the SW8000 from this site to replace some problematic SW7000 I had first ordered. These subs are the real deal. smooth and crisp with excellent frequency response. I like my bass clean rather then overbearingly loud and these subs are as good as it gets for the price. Not saying that there isn't better speakers out there but these are definitely great quality. the only problem is that the heat sync finned design is slightly bulky and add some unwanted weight to already heavy design. great buy :)
P.S. these amps need some power, so dont go half way on an amp...

Friend has 4 of these in a 95' grand prix....hes replace 2 gas tank covers because the bass loosened them until they would just hang open. The cone size does make space limited in certain vehicles though. If you go buy these at your local Audio Store u better bring your whole bank account because they will burn a hole in your pocket...and you better expect to put some money into a decent amp..I recommend Dynomat with more the 2 of these subs...great buy on sonic electronix!
