This box is loaded with a 500W RMS woofer and is very easy to modify.
I found that in its stock form, the back wave distortion is pretty awful with that much power in such a small container. The flat back of the box reflects the sound waves right back at the woofer cone, causing HUGE distortion.
I used memory foam style padding for dampening all on the inside, then made a curved-back design with a rubber knobbly welcome mat (the kind that catches mud/water/rocks from shoes) to dissipate the sound waves by reflecting them all around in different directions instead of directly back at the cone. After adding a shallow plastic port and tuning the frequency with just a bit of polyfill....this box is ASTOUNDING!
The sound quality shines like you wouldn't believe and it hits so hard compared to other 10" single enclosures I've used with the same sub/amp setup. It's a WIN/WIN as long as you modify it a bit. Dampening and polyfill is a given, the backwave distortion elimination is a darn good idea, and the port cut-out along with the polyfill is just my personal taste. I aimed to make this an SQ setup that could still rival the SPL boxes, and that is exactly what this box has helped me to do.

I would definitely recommend this sub box to any one looking to add some serious bass to their vehicle with limited room to work with. I have the single 10" sealed enclosure in the hatch area of my camaro and it fits perfect and sounds great. Can't beat a box like this for the money.

Great build quality. Sturdy construction. Durable so far as I use this box in a toy hauler trailer and it gets moved around quite a bit. Low price. I filled it with some polyfil. What more can you ask for?

Everything about this box was great, but I picked the wrong sub for it. Even the Cubic ft. was close to spec. for the sub. I used a JL Audio 10W3V3-4 and was pushing about 200-250 watts at 4 ohms. Enough about the sub. If you plan on purchasing this box, I recommend doing so. Best bang for your buck!
