These speakers are thick! I played these speakers loud and did a distance test. You can hear these nice and clear a football field away. Perfect speakers.
Thanks

AWESOME set of speakers! I'm running 2 pair with an Alpine PDX-F6 and they handle ALL of the power that beauty pumps. Beautiful grills to boot! Definitely the set of speakers to buy when you want the most bang for your speaker buck; you won't find a better pair for $300-$400 range.

I installed these components in the front doors of a 05 GMC Sierra and they complete the sound I was looking for. I find at high volumes the highs need to be adjusted. Overall they are fantastic speakers. I'd buy them again for any install.

i have these paired with an alpine PDX 4.150, not unlike the other person who reviewed them, i knew how to set the gains, about 5\8 is what mine are at, but i wouldn't play 100% on my deck like that for to long. though they could take it, i still wouldn't recommend it. these are incredible speakers, one thing you need to know is these tweeters NEED to be set off axis, very important, otherwise they may appear very harsh to you .

there is nothing in this price bracket that'll do what these speakers do, they are beautiful speakers, great looking and very functional. they will blow you away with how loud they are, and how clear they are, the highs are not bright at all, but they are at the same time not dull or toned down, they are just right, the cross over range hits quite nicely, i thought about taking them active but they work just fine with out such things.
they are rather large, they take some modding for standard sized socket in a car door, i took some points out because they don't handle bass well at high volumes, and will distort, but with a sub in your system you will have no problems. i took some out of features because the cross overs are very large and awkward, and don't really have anything on them to change frequency cross over ranges.
