I have had some great speakers before and these are by far one of the best. And for the price...... NO comparison. Over all, great speaker.

I had two of these in my s10 being pushed by a cheap 400 watt amp and they hit plenty hard for me and turned heads..

I was a little weary at first, being that this sub is 'only' 300 watts rms, especially since the amp it came with puts out only 150 watts but I had heard that Phoenix Gold was a really good brand, so I bought it anyway. And I love this sub! 300 watts is plenty for my car ('98 Prelude SH) and I never have to turn the sub up very high before the whole car is thumpin' ( I know, it's a Honda). The sound quality is amazing too. I have friends with other brands that put out 1200 watts, and I thought theirs' sounded good but nothing compares to the quality and natural bass sound that comes from this little guy. I would recommend this sub to anyone.

Please buy this subwoofer. you may have never heard of phoenix gold, but this competition class sub pounds hard. if your looking to replace a 10inch sub from an old speaker stand, (like i did), or need another sub to pound the streets up in your local city. this sub can pound as heavy as you need it to.

I own this speaker and use it in my S10 ext cab. It is in a 1^3 foot slotted enclosure (prefabbed) and it plays reasonably deep for a ten incher. (It's probably just the tuning of the box )Doesn't quite compare to kickers' bottom of the line speaker, but at this price, you can get two! Good SQ and SPL for a thirty-five dollar speaker. I am pushing this subwoofer with approximately 170 watts RMS and it doesn't skip a beat at high volumes. I recommend buying this speaker if you are on a budget and need some throw downs. Heck, you might even think about keeping them!
