these components sound great.very smooth, silk tweeters.the midbass is also pretty good.however make sure not to put to much power into them.i recommend under 50 watts rms, otherwize the tweeters shut down.they overheat, fast.typical silk tweeters.im sure the mids could handle maybe 70 watts of power ,not great engineering by eclipse there.i feel they should have matched the tweeters better to the mids.or maybe its in the crossovers.i didnt get into them,i actually sold both sets with the truck.i really wish they would handle more power as the install is sweet.the baskets are cast on the mids, fit and finish is great.oh well.sonic is an amazing place to shop!!

I am quite pleased with the performance of the Eclipse SC6900 component set. I put a pair in the doors of my 4th gen F-body. The mid-bass response is very nice, especially considering there was NONE with the standard 6.5" speaker. Sonic had these available for less than $100! Wow! Thanks, Sonic!

At this price, there is no reason to buy another speaker. I am running 4 6900's and 4 6500's. They are very comparable to my Kappas and MBQuarts that I also have and are very bright. They have a nice crisp mid-bass and excellent overall sound. The semi-shallow mounting depth will fool you as to how much power they can handle. Overall, I would recommend this speaker above all speakers that are even twice the price.
