had this amp hooked up to a kicker L5 at 2 ohms and on my way to work the amp caught smoke and fried up, it hadn't even been playing for more than 15 min. and i only had my volume at 25

I bought this amp to go with my 12 inch Kicker L7. The amp is rated at 700 watts RMS and 1800 max. I also ordered a 2.9 cubic foot box to go with my amp and sub. I hooked it up not knowing what to expect from the box and amp but i was very surprised to find out that it pounds. I am very satisfied with this amp and after playin it maxed out for about 20 minutes it was hardly warm. I recommend this to anyone even if you can afford a more expensive amp.
