Great sub!
I actually have the previous model - MA80XE - but the specs are the same. They definitely handle the rated power. I have a Power Acoustik 840w amp pushing them and they never distort. Nice tight bass for rock and roll. I have them in a seal enclosure but I imagine they would really thump in a vented box. Great design with the dual voice coils. Make sure you know what you are doing when you hook em up.

good value for the money
Good power handling and loud. Wish they had more range, but that's generally the sacrifice you make for a smaller sub. I built 2 small boxes that fit behind the seats of my truck. I only have about 12 inches to play with so I needed a sub that didn't require a big box and still could kick. I've put these through the ringer and they still sound pretty good... and for the price they're a good deal

Worth The Money
pioneer deck with two "Ma80xe", with 1.5 farad "Power Acoustik" capacitor, and pyramid 1000W amp bridged. Wired with 4 gauge power wire, in a ported box.
vs.
pioneer deck with two 15" American Legacy subs in a sealed box with 1000W amp and no capacitor. 4 gauge power wire.
the MA Audio blew away the competition!!

Awesome Price, Awesome Sub
Sounds great with a price that sound even better. Provides really tight bass, the only negative that is visible is possibly the woofer cone and rubber surround construction. The woofer cone is a rigid paper (the way speakers used to be, which is both good and bad). The surround is really flimsy, its like a foam rubber mixture and could be easily punctured. Don't get me wrong though an awesome sub for an awesome price.

Great Sub... Bang for your buck!!!
This sub rocked!!! I used it on my Maxima's rear deck replacing the old Bose sub. It didn't sound like a 8", it played like a bigger sub. Just don't us a stronger amp then recommended, because it will damaged the sub. I damaged the voice coil when playing it close to 500 watts by accident. Other then that this is a great sub for Price!

Nice
This item was bought by myself for my father last christmas. Before I put it in my dads van I hooked it up to my sisters 460 watt dual amp. Which was pushing out 165 watts rms. This thing pounded harder than the two 12 inch duals put together.

Are these 8's or 12's?
I have an Audiobahn 12" Eternal series hooked up to an Alpine M650. When I ordered a pair of these for my son's car, I did not expect a whole lot out of these. What I got was VERY suprising! I hooked one of them up to the Alpine, it bassed almost as hard as the eternal series! They are currently hooked up to an MA Audio 2-channel amp, HK298. My son's friends swore they were a pair of 12's the 1st time they heard them!
