Some of the engineering behind this subwoofer is the extremely rigid injection molded cone. The cone has been adjusted to match the 2010 Kicker line of subwoofer, but it still keeps it traditional black and yellow design that the Comp is known for. Behind the cone, the subwoofer features 360 degree back bracing, a vented pole piece, Kickers Spiralead tinsel leads, and a sturdy steel basket. This legendary Comp subwoofer from Kicker is the perfect balance between high value and high performance!
A 10" Kicker Comp subwoofer is perfect for Kicker Comp subwoofers are ideal for those that don't have the room to put a large enclosure that the 12" and 15" subs require, yet still what to have deep, accurate bass. Installing two or three of the 10" Comp subwoofer can result in incredible bass, while keeping costs down. For solid, clear bass the 10" Comp is an excellent choice. I put 2 of the 43c104 10 inch subs in my avalanche and was not sure if they would sound good for such a low price. Well I'm glad I did these sub's sound really good and they are running free air mounted in the mid gate. I have always had a box but wanted to try a free air setup and was quite surprised they put out more bass than a lot of my sealed box's have. If you try a free air setup you have to separate the front bass wave from the rear wave not just under the seat.
so pros: great sub,low price,handles power well

Unbelievable!
I’ve had them: Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, JBL, CV, MTX, L7’s, and RF P3’s and P2’s...THIS little 10” mappatappa is the real deal! No joke. Built solidly and looks the part without being “cheesy” or “gadgety”, you know? I’ve not yet completely broken it in but it is quite impressive. I don’t miss the P3SD4-12 or 12” L7. And for $45? GET OUT!
It’s loud but not overbearing (as long as you adjust it properly). I’ve pushed it with an JL XD600/6 and an RF600X5. Shockingly, the RF sounds better. I think it as an appetite for power.
I’m sure it can get deep. I cross it over @160hz. I’ve not heard it drop hard and low LOW yet (not trying to kill it) but I’m sure it has the capability.
I think I’m a Kicker sub fan now!

good subs for price
I have 2 10 in. Kicker comps, a MTX TR55 10 in., and a Kicker 400.1. The Kickers are good but the 2 Kickers wired at 2 ohms only hits a little bit harder than the MTX wired at 4 ohms, but the box the Kickers are in was made for 2 MTX TR55 which is sealedand a bigger box then what I'd recommed.
Great system for around $400.
If looking for a good deal I'd get these and put them in the smallest ported box you can find and put them with a mono block 400 watt amp.

awesome deal
i have 2 10s in a truck box with a mounting depth of only 5 1/2 inches in the box and with the ZX450.2 Kicker amp and they bump so hard. The inside is completely mind blowing but it does sound kinda bad from outside the car. i think it is probably the best you will get for this value.
