These components sound great when powered properly. The tweets deliver crisp detail. Mids lack bass but hey that's what subs are for. Looks are overall good. Only bad thing is they blew after only about a couple months worth of use

These sound Awesome! I have them installed in the front doors of my GMC crew cab along with a Alpine Head Unit and two RE 10's. They have very little bass response but thats fine for me with my 10's. Highs and mids are very clear with 75 watts going to them.
My only complaint is the tweeter mounting...It took up the most of my install time, what comes in the box is almost useless. These are not for the novice installer be prepared to fab a bit.

The best way I would describe these speakers is balanced. If anything they might be a more mellow set of what i have heard before. The bass is nice and tight, and the tweets aren't overly bright....in fact I prefer to have the tweets un-attenuated. The crossover is very flexible with multiple options for attenuation and bi-amping...not to mention that they are made of very high quality components. the woofers are also very small, using the neo-magnet makes these little guys fit into tight places.
I have a Kenwood KDC-x794 and I'm driving these speakers with 80w from a mb quart dsc 480.4. that said I'm not sure if they need more power or what, but I did think they would be louder than they are in my setup......granted im counting on one set for a full size sedan...with a sub for lows.
I'm currently considering trying to use the headunit to power the tweets alone and have the amp put 160w to each woofer....using the very flexible crossover in the bi-amp mode....but eh that involves taking stuff apart and I dont think it would be worth it in the end
In the end I wish I would have found some 6.5" hertz component speakers (they are supposed to be a little more bright and lively when compared to alpines).....but thats not to say that these dont sound great!
