For Nissan cars, the signal of OEM headunit is preamp. Otherwise you better connect the preamps to the speaker cables and you are done, sound will be better. BOSE amplifiers respond really well when they are connected to 4 or 5 Volt preouts. It is all you need.

If your aftermarket radio has no preamp output, you need this item.
I need the preamps and my AVH-5050dvd has only two preamps. I wired the front preamp to the front speakers (yes, direct) with RCA's, the rear preout to SubWoffer. For the rear i used this unit, adjust the level to the appropriate audio gain (I had a hard time with this, but once made, you are done).

Works great connected to cx609 running signal to stock Bose amp. No need for adjustment, set perfect out of the box. Originally installed head unit with preamp output to speaker wire device, but with 2v preamp outputs volume was too limited. PAC OEM 1 solved the issue.

Great Product!

January 12, 2011

I got this product when the adapter that came with my sound system wasn't compatible with my bose system in my '03 G35. The old adapter had the two RCA connectors for the sound and that's it. It seems that kind of adapter only allows my front two speakers to work. When I installed this, all four speakers and subwoofer worked again!

Pros: Brings out best of my Bose system in my '03 G35

Cons: Doesn't manufacture money.

I used this on my 2000 Maxima. It worked great and saved me hundreds of dollars to replace the factory amp and speakers. (BTW I don't know what the comment above about buttons is about.)

Awesome sound

April 12, 2015

This wiring harness is elaborate but necessary for the Bose system. People have had trouble with the other harness for Nissan. They have trouble with volume being low. I bought the wrong one and sent it back for this one. This makes the factory Bose sound great.

If you have a Nissan with the bose system this is a must buy. I read many reviews on this product and it made hooking up a aftermarket head unit a breeze. Get this!

Awesome product as advertised

March 19, 2016

I purchased this for my 350z with standard Bose stereo as I wanted to replace the pathetic standard stereo. With the 350z you have to run low level inputs into the factory amp (speaker outputs from aftermarket stereos are high level) so this adapter enabled me to run an aftermarket head unit with having to resort to separate high to low level converters.
Unit worked great although it would have been nice to include iso plugs, as most aftermarket stereos have them these days, also unit size is a little big (still smaller then separate converters though).

A must have adapter to keep your Bose amp.

February 12, 2016

I replaced the factory Bose head unit in my Infinity with a pioneer unit but kept the Bose amp and speakers. Using a Metra adapter I had very weak volume and poor sound quality. Switching to the PAC ROEM-NIS2 made all the difference in the world. Strong volume and much better sound quality. I consider it a 'must have' for a factory Bose system.

I have a 1998 Nissan pathfinder and i have purchased the BOSS BV9372BI audio system. I installed the radio with the basic Scosche wiring harness (from wal-mart). everything on the radio worked just fine but there was no sound. I can not seem to find the issue. will this fix the problem?
Michael M on Nov 9, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Michael,

You need to first determine what is causing the issue. We do not suggest buying an entirely new harness without figuring that out first. The PAC ROEM-NIS2 may be the solution, but only IF your '98 Nissan Pathfinder is equipped with the factory BOSE system or the Nissan Amplified System.

I am considering buying the Kenwood DPX 502BT car stereo from you guys (Sonic Electronics) for a replacement for my original stereo in my 2002 Nissan Pathfinder.. On the website there is the statement that with the stereo comes the " Specific Install Dash Kit & Harness" for the car. Yet, according to Nissan Forums, buying the PAC ROEM-NIS2 harness will make for better sound and an easier install. Do you think I should buy the PAC ROEM-NIS2 harness or do you think the one that comes with the new car stereo will be good enough?
Jerome G on Sep 1, 2016
Best Answer: Hey Jerome,

First, we have to note, your question is sent to customers (including us) who have purchased this product. So expect a few confused answers.

As to your question, we suggest giving our sales team a call. We often trust Forum information - being part of many ourselves - so we are certain their information is accurate. As such, our sales team may be able to adjust your order for you to include the piece that you feel will make your install work for you.

I purchased a JVC KD-R860BT a few months ago and just got around to install it on my 2003 Infiniti QX4. The JVC radio came with one connector and has 14 wires; I would have to cut the factory wires and splice them to the JVC connector. In order to avoid the cutting / splicing would the PAC ROEM-NIS2 work with the JVC radio and will my steering wheel controls function as they were with the factory installed Bose radio? Thanks
Fernando R on May 30, 2016
Best Answer: - would the PAC ROEM-NIS2 work with the JVC radio

Yes.

-and will my steering wheel controls function...

No - But it has nothing to do with the Bose system. Your install will require the Axxess ASWC-1 to retain SWC functions.

will this fit my 2004 nissan murano sl with bose system?
geeunit w on Mar 17, 2016
Best Answer: Hello,

Unfortunately, No. There is no alternative option that is compatible with your vehicle; a traditional Line Out Converter or Processor is the best course of action.
