Why Choose Kicker Amplifiers:
Kicker Performance Audio has been around since 1980 and has been producing amazing products since then. Kicker’s drive to consistently produce products that not only are great but also push the standards of the car audio industry is very apparent in all series of their amplifiers. All Kicker amplifiers are CEA-206 Compliant, assuring you are receiving a continuous certified RMS power rating. Kicker will always exceed the rated power because Kicker is notorious for under rating their amplifiers. So really you will be getting more power than you actually pay for, which is not true for other lower end performance amplifiers that generally over rate their amplifiers. Kicker amplifiers will provide a choice of three automatic turn-on modes; remote, DC offset, or signal sense, which make then compatible with any car audio system. Along with their high-density convection heat sink for extreme heat dissipation and high efficiency MOSFET power supply, Kickers amplifiers are great way to go when selecting the perfect amplifier for your car audio system.

Great clean power. Wish it had a little more power in the ab section but what it does put out is crystal clear! Sub channel is good and strong, never shuts off but does get a little warm. Would recommend.

Should read Kicker 08ZX1000.5. Since Kicker underrates their amps, my birth sheet for this puppy was 990 Watts, which means at a 2 Ohm load the sub is getting about 500W! This amp is spectacular, I have the gains at just under half for the speakers because I knew it would be too much power for my Focal speakers but they sound amazing. I have nothing bad to say about this amp at all, if you are looking for a high powered 5-Channel amp to run your whole system look no further. Comes with some pretty heavy duty spade connectors which make install very nice and neat.

Looking for a nice 5 channel amp to run your entire system, look no further. This amp has everything you need including built in crossovers and one of my favorites, a control knob to control the bass. The amp puts out plenty of power to your 4 speakers and if you can get a sub wired to 2 ohms, you can get 400 watts RMS, or in my case 2- 4ohm subs so that each receive 200 watts a piece RMS. It's amazing how much power this amp has in such a small package. Clarity is top notch. It's ashamed having to have to place it behind the rear seat where no one can see it.

I purchased this amp a month or so ago. I had it setup to power 2 6x9 Infinity kappa's, 2 6.5 Infinity kappa's up front and 2 Polk 10" subs. The sound quality was excellent until I started hearing a high pitch squeal when the frequency knob for the sub was turned past 100 Hz or more. Then I took it on a 30 minute road trip and was listening to music pretty loud but clear then the amp shutdown. I pulled off the road and when I opened the trunk the burning smell was unbelievable. I could not believe that smoke was not coming out of the amp! I spoke with Kicker tech support as well as Sonic and was told there must be something wrong with my wiring. I could find nothing wrong. When I spoke with Sonic customer support again I was informed that this amp cannot work with 2ohm speakers (Infinity Kappa's) even though both Sonic and kicker site said it should. I wound up sending it back and decided to order another brand. I figured that it may have been a bad amp. I have replaced it with an Infinity Kappa 4 and a MTX JH600 and so far could not be happier. I will review the Kappa 4 later on after good burnin time. The JH600 review has been written.
